RIVER CITY STORIES (Part 3!) is a cinematic portrait of Harrisburg: a series of interconnected stories about grief, humor, longing, and the unexpected ways people find one another across lines of race, class, neighborhood, and experience.
Created by filmmakers Paul Hood and Wallace McKelvey, the project draws inspiration from the people and places that define life along the Susquehanna. This year's program includes stories about connection and compassion. Two mothers come together in the wake of tragedy. Meanwhile, a chance encounter over an apple pie sets two men on a new path.
By turns funny, intimate, and heartbreaking, River City Stories is a love letter to the city of Harrisburg and the people who call it home.
