Two Gender identities, both alike in dignity, in the fair closet where we lay our scene. But wherefore art thou two?
Using clown and movement work, Two Households reimagines the text of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet to explore queerness and gender identity through the allegory of coming out of the closet.
Rachel Weekley continues their streak of solo Shakespeare remixes, following sold out runs of King of Nothing at The Brick and Harrisburg Fringe Festival, with this expanded production of Two Households, originally shown at Frigid's ShakesSolo Festival.
Directed by Zeynep Akça of No Exit Theatre Collective. You can find more of NETC's work on Instagram: @noexittc.

No Exit Theatre Collective is a community-oriented artist collective and multimedia performance arts platform that functions as an innovative playground for radical thought, practice, and exploration. We center and serve those historically marginalized and disenfranchised by traditional societal frameworks. Through the creation of collaborative theatrical projects we facilitate a culture and practices that create accessible pathways for storytelling, creation, and communion in artistry, industry, and education.
