Stand-Up 4 Recovery is an Award-winning mobile comedy event for the addiction and mental health recovery community (and allies too). Their mission is creating engaging, recovery-friendly shows, serving as a beacon of hope sharing their experience, strength, and jokes, ​as well as emphasizing that while recovery is serious, we needn't take ourselves too seriously. Their goal is exemplifying that not only is recovery real but it can be real fun! Stand-Up 4 Recovery, which is based in Atlanta, has an initiative to get overdose reversal kits into venues around the country as well as provide venues and audiences free reversal kits through their partnership with various harm reduction organizations. Richie Satori is the executive director and a comedian in long term recovery from addiction and other mental health challenges who will be headlining this event which will spotlight local comedians in recovery as well. Richie was named one of Comedy Hypes’ Hot 100 comics to watch, has appeared in sketches with Funny Marco, and on TV opposite Kate Mara on Hulu/FX. He’s shared his story of addiction and mental health recovery through stand-up storytelling at clubs, theaters, festivals, and jails across the country, including off-Broadway.
